World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument
The World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument features the Arizona Memorial. This is where thousands of sailors are still entombed since that faithful day of December 7, 1941. Fittingly, the battleship Missouri is now an historic floating World War II museum. It sits aside the remains of the sunken battleship Arizona. The battleship Missouri was the ship on which Japan surrendered to the Allies in the summer of 1945.
