Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio Hotel
The 4-Star Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio Hotel has the perfect location for those who are looking for something a little less frantic, less noisy and with an atmosphere of the old Hawaii. Only one block from the beach, the hotel nevertheless has magnificent ocean view rooms as well as stunning night views of the Ko'olau Mountains with strings of lights cascading down the ridges, something you will long remember. More toward the Diamond Head end of Waikiki, it is in a quieter area, yet a short block to the beach and all the activities there.
The hotel just finished extensive refurbishments and renovations in the Spring of 2007, when Hilton took over the former Radisson property. The rooms are beautifully decorated, featuring exotic Wenge and Zebrano woods from South America, Hilton Serenity Beds with down duvets, 250-thread count sheets and down pillows. The luxurious bathrooms are accented with marble and natural stone featuring either a bath tub or shower enclosure. The complimentary bath amenities are by Crabtree & Evelyn La Source.
Other rooms amenities include a state-of-art GuestLink system that includes a 45" Plasma Flatscreen TV multi-media monitor which can be used with your laptop, game station, video/camera or MP3 Player. There is also Cable and pay per view movies, room service, the Hilton Alarm Clock Radio with MP3 connection, workspace with an ergonomic chair, laptop size in-room safe (fee), two 2-line phones, voice mail, coffee maker, hair driver, high speed internet access (fee) and more.
There is a lovely heated pool with sundeck and Jacuzzi on the 10th floor, open from 6 am to 10 pm - picture floating in the warm pool at night while watching millions of stars overhead - that alone should be worth some wonderful memories. And be sure to check out the complimentary fully equipped Fitness Center as well as the WiFi wireless access available on the main floor. The Hang 10 Pool Bar serves light dishes, breakfast, sandwiches, snacks and drink specials throughout the day from 10 am to 7 pm.
Mac 247 is the Hilton's on-site restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in a very lovely setting with views out to the gardens. Open 24 hours a day, the restaurant features an upscale version of a coffee shop and/or deli, specializing in classic American dishes with an island flair and contemporary twist and a separate children's menu. The Lobby Bar is near the front desk, where the drinks are generously poured and there is a great variety of appetizers to choose from, open from 5 to 10 pm.
