Outrigger Fairway Villas
The 3.5-Star Outrigger Fairway Villas are a group of deluxe townhome condominiums located in the 
exclusive Waikoloa Resort area on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island. The 14 three-story buildings, with elevators, border an 18-hole championship golf course, The Beach Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. The adjacent course to the Villas is the 18-hole Jay Morrish/Tom Weiskopf designed Kings' Golf Course. In other words, what one could call a golfer's dream, made even better as guests of the Fairway Villas receive discounted access to both courses.
The Villas are not just a golfer's dream however; they are a dream for anyone who enjoys beautiful landscaping, luxurious accommodations, breathtaking sunsets, peacefulness and time to count anything from stars to turtles to seashells on the beach.
The air conditioned 2 bedroom/2 bath; 2 bedroom/2 bath with loft and 3 bedroom/3 bath Villas are both spacious and luxurious, featuring contemporary Hawaiian plantation architecture with coordinating interior design including rattan furniture and warm earth tones. The state-of-the-art full kitchens feature granite countertops, stainless steel appliances including a side by side full size refrigerator, oven/stove, dishwasher, microwave, water filtration system, blender, toaster, rice cooker, coffee/tea maker, cookware and tableware.
The bathrooms also feature granite countertops, a large soaking tub and free standing shower. The units also include a full size stack washer and dryer and large furnished lanais (balcony) or patios, the perfect spot for breakfast in the morning. Amenities also include daily maid service, direct dial telephone, complimentary local and toll-free phone calls, dial-up internet access (fee), hair dryer, iron/ironing board, Cable TV, pay-for-view-movies, alarm clock/radio, ceiling fans and more.

The property is gated for privacy, parking is complimentary and a two night minimum stay is required.

One of the most beautiful beaches on the island, Anaehoomalu Bay, is only about one-half a mile away, fast with a car and more leisurely by walking.
Costco, Wal-Mart and a Safeway grocery store are in the Kona area as well as other smaller grocery/food outlets if you want to take advantage of that fabulous kitchen. You would have to drive in the opposite direction of the Fairway Villas from the airport, but the savings of eating breakfast "at home" and perhaps preparing lunch to take on an exploration of part of the island is quite substantial, especially if you have children. You can pick up steaks and grill them in the picnic area, perhaps while watching the sunset, or you can sit on your lanai, sipping a cocktail and watch the stars come out.
